Effective June 30th, the Nova Scotia Nursing and Midwifery Regulator (NSNMR) was formed as a multi-profession regulator, replacing the former Nova Scotia College of Nursing and the Midwifery Regulatory Council of Nova Scotia. Find a Midwife

The public register or “Find a Midwife” is a complete listing of midwives that have been registered in Nova Scotia.

Its purpose is to provide clients and the public with information about Registered Midwives and where they are practising in the province. The online public register also allows you to verify the registration of a midwife in Nova Scotia.

If you cannot find your midwife’s name in the public register or you suspect that someone you are dealing with is not registered, please contact us immediately at midwifery@nsnmr.ca.
