Renewal for nurses opening next week
Renewal for nurses opens September 2nd. All nurses must renew their licence to be legally entitled to practice on November 1st, 2026. Ensure you know your NSNMR portal login to be able apply for renewal.
The renewal period for midwives will be in February.

NSNMR’s new ‘Professional Practice Bulletin for Midwives’ outlines key legislative and regulatory changes under the RHPA and provides guidance on scope of practice, prescribing, and other important topics.
Decision Support Tool (New)
This tool helps guide decision-making about client care while recognizing the importance of individual competence and workplace readiness.
Using Artificial Intelligence: practice support tool for nurses
Review key concepts related to privacy and confidentiality, informed consent, and bias, to consider and be aware of before using AI as a nurse.
